The Sensanbaugher Family

Location: Columbus, OH
Drilling Partner: Not Listed
John Sensanbaugher put his life on the line for our freedom as he served two back-to-back tours in Afghanistan in 2011 and 2012. Sensanbaugher was injured by an IED while traveling in a Humvee, which resulted in major back injuries and the start of his battle with PTSD.
While no longer in the military, Sensanbaugher is a dedicated husband to Katelyn and their two children, aged nine and six, and is a Central Ohio resident.
When word was received that this American hero and his family had no access to clean, safe water on their property and were unable to afford to have a new well drilled, Water Well Wish stepped in.
“We learned of John and his family’s story and their need for water after finding out they had been denied assistance through a water well loan program,” said Terry Morse, CEO of the National Ground Water Association.
The water well on John and Katelyn’s property had been poorly constructed and collapsed in June of this year. The family had been without water ever since. They were having to run a hose from the grandfather’s house next door for water and would have to go to the grandfather’s house for showers and to use the restroom — until now.
